Procedures for shipments that cannot be delivered and require return-to-sender.
This Policy governs shipments that cannot be delivered and require re-delivery, holding, return-to-sender (RTO) or another lawful disposition.
A shipment may be returned due to recipient refusal, incorrect or incomplete address, repeated recipient unavailability, customs or documentation problems, unpaid duties/charges, prohibited goods, security restrictions or other delivery failures.
The number and timing of delivery attempts may vary by destination, service and local delivery partner. Additional attempts may be subject to applicable charges.
Where a shipment is designated for return, Impresto Courier may arrange return transportation or another lawful disposition. The Shipper remains responsible for applicable return freight, customs, duties, taxes, handling and storage charges unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Once a COD parcel has been received by the customer or authorized recipient and the COD amount has been paid or confirmed, delivery is considered completed. If the customer subsequently returns the parcel to a rider, the rider may accept it for operational reasons, but this is treated as a post-delivery return and does not automatically create renewed delivery liability for Impresto Courier.
After delivery acceptance, any later handover of the parcel by the recipient to another rider, courier, driver or third party is outside the original delivery transaction. Impresto Courier is not responsible for loss, damage or dispute arising from that later handover.
Where applicable to the service, a UAE remote-area delivery charge of AED 150 may apply unless a different written tariff has been agreed.
A returned parcel received at the Impresto Courier warehouse will be held for 15 days. From day 16, storage charges of AED 5 per day apply until collection or lawful disposal.
If a returned parcel remains unclaimed for one month from warehouse receipt despite reasonable contact attempts, Impresto Courier may, subject to applicable law, dispose of or destroy the parcel. The Shipper remains responsible for applicable charges.
International RTO may require customs declarations, import/export formalities, duties, taxes, return freight and other destination or origin charges. These may be charged to the responsible party.
Address correction or re-delivery may be available where operationally possible and may attract additional charges.
Where a shipment cannot lawfully be returned, the Company may follow customs, government or other competent-authority instructions.
Shippers should contact Impresto Courier promptly after a return notification to provide instructions and settle applicable charges.
